RDC: Ennemis de nous-mêmes

 

Corruption, trahison interne, ambiguïtés religieuses et opposition défaillante : pourquoi les Congolais de la RDC sont devenus, en partie, des ennemis d'eux-mêmes dans la guerre de l'Est.

Depuis plus de trente ans, l'Est de la République démocratique du Congo vit dans un état de guerre quasi permanent. Ce conflit a causé des millions de morts, déplacé des populations entières, désintégré le tissu social et affaibli durablement l'État congolais. Il est généralement présenté comme une agression extérieure, notamment liée aux ambitions régionales du Rwanda et de ses alliés — lecture en grande partie fondée, mais incomplète.

Une analyse rigoureuse impose de reconnaître que la guerre de l'Est se nourrit également de l'intérieur : de la corruption endémique, de la collaboration avec l'ennemi, de l'attitude équivoque de certaines institutions religieuses et d'une opposition politique dépourvue de colonne vertébrale patriotique.

Affirmer que les Congolais sont devenus, en partie, des ennemis d'eux-mêmes ne constitue pas une accusation morale collective. Il s'agit d'un constat politique douloureux mais nécessaire pour comprendre pourquoi cette guerre perdure depuis trois décennies sans issue durable.
