Loin de nier le génocide, il s'attache à désigner les vrais responsables et à honorer la mémoire des victimes de tous bords, Hutus comme Tutsis. Il révèle les motivations véritables qui ont inspiré l'incroyable mise en cause de la France, de ses gouvernants et de son armée par les actuels dirigeants du Rwanda et leurs soutiens inconditionnels (associations et journalistes). BBC a diffusé en octobre 2014 un documentaire inédit, "Rwanda's untold story", qui provoque une crise aiguë avec le Rwanda confirmant les révélations de Paul Barril. Ce livre met chacun devant ses responsabilités, face aux victimes et face à l'Histoire. Il ne ressasse pas une actualité dépassée : il est au contraire au coeur des relations actuelles entre la France et une partie de l'Afrique.
